This Black & Decker EHC650 food processor chops and minces without the inconvenience of a bigger food processor. Its height is 8 inches and has a diameter of 4.75 inches. It has a 3 cup plastic bowl which is enough for most tasks in a one to two-person household and to quite an extent in a family household.

Its 150 watt motor has enough power to mince or chop vegetables, herbs, fruits, cheese, chocolate, nuts, bread and cooked meats. You can use it easily with one hand using the power head which has a soft grip.

It works at 2 speeds to mince or chop. Hi/Low Pulse controls is used for fine mincing or coarse chopping. It is designed ergonomically and comfortable and easy to use for everyday chopping jobs. Great for small amounts for sauces, soups or desserts.

It comes with a plastic bowl, a base that is slip resistant and also acts as the lid when storing food, and a stainless-steel blade. They are all dishwasher safe.

The favorable reviews talked about how easy and fast it is to chop things like onions. Also make instant bread crumbs. Even shaved ice for that matter.

This Black & Decker EHC650 food chopper is easy and safe to use with 3 parts to clean, the cup, the blades and the top which is actually the motor. It is compact and small making it very handy.

The 2 settings which are the slow-pulse and the fast-pulse provide the flexibility needed on how coarse you may want the food chopped. Can even do purees with it.

The see-through container allows you to see if the food is done. And you can just cover the chopping chamber with the lid and store it in the fridge if required.

One customer mentioned that it has two blades placed at different heights, which avoids food at the bottom getting over-chopped and at the top, it is unchopped. It is a winner for small batches of food.

Another feedback said that it is so quiet that the user can actually be having a phone conversation while using it.

For the price, this does a fantastic job.

The critical comments were mostly concerned about the cover, which also contains the motor, plug and wire, and cannot be immersed into water or into the dishwasher for washing.  This gets dirty, of course, and it is difficult to clean it thoroughly.

Seafood leaves a smell that sticks to the plastic container, so a good scrub is needed.

For an unfortunate few, unlike the positive experience of the others, the food chopper broke at the start or a little later. Like the blades will churn but when the food is put in, it will jam. The motor cannot even get onions chopped. For some, it just broke down after a few months.

There was one customer who found the center section holding the blade beginning to break. In this case, the customer contacted Black & Decker online and they gave her information on where to get replacement parts and they actually sent her a new complimentary 3 cup bowl.
